Boats Removed From Redwood Creek

Zaccor Salvage crew, above, hauled out yesterday what were believed to be the last two derelict boats left in Redwood Creek near Redwood City. Afterward, barge deck man Pat Gibbens, right, went through boat rubble. During the past 18 months, the salvage crew worked with local officials and state agencies to remove 105 boats that were creating a navigational hazard and leaking diesel fuel and oil. The 40-foot yacht and sailboat brought to shore yesterday were crushed and then dumped in a landfill.
